4月9日，校长靳其春就目前新冠肺炎疫情分别向日籍外教任凛鳯、法籍外教Linda Quendoz 致慰问信。
信中，靳校长对两位外教在疫情期间仍关注学校和学生，积极响应“停课不停学”号召，参与网络教学表示感谢，叮嘱两位外教做好自身防护工作，并期待疫情早日结束，大家健康平安相聚美丽外校！

最近、メディアから全世界で猛威を振るう新型コロナウィルスはもう任先生の故郷――日本で広がっていることを存じております。この度のコロナウィルスのこと、日本にいらっしゃる任先生のことを非常に心配しており、そのため、この大見舞い状をきっかけ、心からお見舞い申し上げます。
ウィルスが情け容赦がないですが、わが校は任先生との深いよしみを妨げることができません。コロナウィルスが広がっている間、任先生はずっと学校や学生のことを気づがっていることに非常に感謝しております。
日本でウィルスをよく予防し、お体にお気をつけてください。一日も早くコロナウィルスが終わり、私たちは綺麗な宜昌市外国語高校で再会できますことを心からお祈りしております。

You have been very much in my thoughts recently as I have learned, with mounting concern, that the global outbreak of COVID-19 has spread in your hometown, Japan. I’m writing to send my deepest sympathy and my most heartfelt solicitude to you. Certainly, our friendship will not be stopped by the epidemic despite its mercilessness. And your constant concern about our school during the outbreak is highly appreciated.
Please take good care of yourself. We hope the epidemic will come to an end soon and we will meet again in beautiful Yichang Foreign Languages High School.

Récemment, j'ai appris des médias en ligne que la nouvelle épidémie de coronavirus (COVID-19), qui sévit dans le monde entier, s'est propagée dans votre pays natal, la France. Pour cette raison, nous sommes très préoccupés par cela. Nous voudrions exprimer nos sympathies aujourd'hui. Bien que l'épidémie soit impitoyable, elle ne peut pas faire obstacle à l'amitié entre vous et notre école. Pendant l'épidémie, vous faites également toujours attention à l'école et aux élèves, nous vous en sommes très reconnaissants. J'espère que vous ferez la prévention des épidémies dans votre pays natal et prendrez bien soin de votre corps. Dans l'attente de la fin de l'épidémie dès que possible, nous nous reverrons au beau lycée des langues étrangères de Yichang.
